Motor Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester
We are looking for a skilled vehicle technician with strong mechanical expertise to maintain and repair vehicles, including classic models and class 7 (3.5t) vehicles. MOT tester status is an advantage but not essential as training can be provided for the right applicant.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct vehicle inspections and identify necessary repairs
- Perform general servicing and maintenance on private and fleet vehicles
- Execute engine and gearbox replacements
- Work with timing chains and wet belts
- Read schematics and troubleshoot vehicle systems
- Maintain a safe, organised work environment
- Provide customer service and communicate vehicle repair needs
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years full-time vehicle servicing and repair experience
- Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (NVQ/City & Guilds equivalent)
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong diagnostic and technical skills with attention to detail
Desirable: Hybrid/EV servicing experience, welding ability, ability to work independently.
