Six of the jobs that come through our Whapload Road workshop most weeks, from MOT testing and full servicing to brakes, cambelts, clutches and diagnostics. Every one on any make or model, and every one priced before it starts.
Class 4 MOT testing at our own DVSA-approved station, with braking efficiency measured on the rolling road and emissions read on calibrated gear. A fail comes back with the reason and a fixed price before a spanner touches it.
Interim at six months, full at twelve and major at twenty-four, all worked to manufacturer standards on approved parts, so the warranty stays intact and the service history stays stamped.
Brake pads, discs, fluid and calipers on any make and model, plus the equipment to take on the electronic handbrakes and ABS faults a lot of independents send down the road.
A cambelt gives no warning before it goes. What follows costs more than most cars are worth. Replaced on the manufacturer interval and set with locking tools, with the tensioners and water pump renewed alongside it.
Diagnostic software of the latest spec that talks to every module on a modern car, plus the older sort of experience that traces a bad earth on a classic. The scan says where to look; thirty-five years say what to do about it.
The air conditioning is evacuated and vacuum-tested for leaks before a gram of refrigerant goes back in, because a top-up that leaks straight out again was never a repair. Vents are treated while the car is in.
